Philosophy
At our family riding farm Gut Darrehof in Serfaus, we ascribe to a simple philosophy: riding should be fun, both for the rider and the horse. We treat our horses as partners here, not as sports equipment.
On a riding holiday at our stables in Serfaus, you will discover the great diversity of horses and what makes them so fascinating. We offer solid basic and advanced training with a professional instructor and leisure rides for the whole family.
Basic training
The only way to avoid uncertainties is through knowledge, understanding and routine. It is therefore especially important to us to offer solid and balanced basic training to teach you how to handle the horse safely and build confidence.
Individual & group lessons
We try to avoid stress at all costs. This is why we only offer group lessons to pupils who have learned how to give the horse clear instructions on their own in a private lesson and feel confident in the saddle.
Hacks & jumping lessons
In order to attempt hacks and jumping lessons, riders must have mastered all gaits and feel comfortable and confident on horseback.
Children and animals share a very special bond. On a holiday in Serfaus, your children can take their first steps on our sweet ponies and Haflinger horses. They will not only learn to respect and love animals but will also take their first step towards learning responsibility.
Our behaviour and actions have a direct impact on the wellbeing and mood of the horses. No other hobby can sharpen and develop the social behaviour of children so much as horse riding.
Horse riding is much more than just a hobby. You will soon discover this – if you haven’t already – when all your attention is focused on your horse.
Since horses are sensitive to the rider’s mood, they practically force you to switch off and leave your everyday worries behind you, to be in the here and now, and to fully engage with the pure pleasure of riding.
Our motto is
- Stress-free riding that make you feel happy
- Developing understanding for the horse as your partner
- Acquiring a solid and balanced basic training
- Gaining trust and confidence in the saddle
